Hi,
The current version (3.1) is based on activeX. The next release 4.0 is based on gwt.
have not seen D2 but I from what I read (not much) I though it was built on a ActiveX and can only run in Internet Explorer
hi
I like documentum download D2. Where can I download
Its on powerlink.
D2 4.0 has already been released but all the features which is there in 3.1 are not available in 4.0. EMC will release 4.1 very soon which will have all the fetuares. From 3.1 to 4.0 UI has been changed completely. In 4.1 it is like widget UI.
It can be downloaded from https://subscribenet.emc.com
If you like a trial copy of D2 for evaluation, please contact your EMC sales representative.
@Supratim007 : The 4.0 version is already based on widget !
Question about D2 install
Do we have to install DFS on the Content/Application Servers?
Should we just install D2-DAR.dar, D2Widget-Dar.dar using Composer? Is there anything else needs to be installed for this particular repository?
Deploy D2FS.war, and D2.war, and D2Config.war. Should we be just adding dfc.properties like in Webtop or Taskspace application?
We already have few Repositories with workflows build in Process Builder; will it mess up any of the configuration with the CS when I install D2?
It is alreay installed on the content Server.
You don't need to install it on the App Server as one of the WAR files to be deployed includes it (D2FS.war)
So basically just install the DAR files to the Repository and GR and deploy the war files on the App Servers.
Any other configuration?
"...will it mess up any of the configuration with the CS when I install D2?"
- I seem to recall from D2 presentation that the D2 configurations are not compatible with xCP. I think it had to do with object types, but I dont remember the details. If I were you, I would install D2 in a new respository and play around with it before trying to added to existing application.
