DFC Code to set repeating values

Hi Experts,

I need help to set the repeating values to a custom attributs in webtop. I have written a dfc code but its setting the values but its not displaying all the values i nthe webtop, when we click the edit buton and click on the ok button in repeating dialog then its displaying. Please give me the solution. and below is my peace of code.

here i am getting all repeating values

strIMONumber=col.getAllRepeatingStrings("lloyds_no",",");

and here i am setting values

DocbaseAttributeValue IMONumber = (DocbaseAttributeValue) getControl(

"lloyds_no", DocbaseAttributeValue.class);

Vector<String> vIMONumber=new Vector<String>();

StringTokenizer st=new StringTokenizer(strIMONumber,",");

while(st.hasMoreTokens()){

vIMONumber.add(st.nextToken());

}

IMONumber.setDirty();

for(int i=0;i<vIMONumber.size();i++){

IMONumber.setValue(vIMONumber.get(i));

IMONumber.setValues(vIMONumber);

}

Where are you calling your code from (ie what method in your component class)?

actually i have a button in import page, so wen the user clickon that button i am calling a method in that i did write this code.

Which class and method are you extending? It may be a timing issue.

and i have written a custom method......for setting repeating attribute.

I just reread your post - "...I have written a dfc code but its setting the values but its not displaying all the values i nthe webtop". So are you saying that your code saves some repeating attribute values but not others? If so, can you provide more details on your example?

Also, why are you overwriting the same values in the same loop:

for(int i=0;i<vIMONumber.size();i++){

IMONumber.setValue(vIMONumber.get(i));

IMONumber.setValues(vIMONumber);

}

It should be either this

for(int i=0;i<vIMONumber.size();i++){

IMONumber.setValue(vIMONumber.get(i));

}

Or this:

IMONumber.setValues(vIMONumber);

this statement also, my code setting all values but its not displaying all the values.the issue for display in webtop.

I have attached a image please look into that then u ll let u know the issue. when the user click on the ok button in repeating dialog window then it is displaying.

So your code doesnt display any values you saved. Got it.

I have code similar to yours and extended onControlInitiaalized method in my class. You will need to implement IControlListener as part of your class and include addControlListener(this) on the component onInit().

its saving on docbase also, only its not displaying the values for view.

Its b/c the values are not getting reloaded to UI after you save. This is why we had to extend onControlInitiaalized(), so that our code is ALWAYS called when form is rendered.

i written the below code buts its giving nullpointer exception.......

is this correct and more over when the user click on the button i calling another method so. in addControlListener method how should i write this code....

You should find IControlListener example code in the unstripped.jar in root of webtop.war file

if not there then get your hands on a copy of wdk.war

What does your class declaration look like? Did you implement IControlListener as part of your class?

Also, did you include addControlListener(this) on the component onInit()?

The control should be the text/listbox that is displaying the repeatting attributes, not the click button.
