dear team. i followed the step to replace FAST with xplore in my env. and i am currently running reindex operations. reindex will take at least 5 days becasue we have a huge number of documents. i have 2 qusitons for you if you can help. how can i make sure that xplore is working i tried searching for docs from webtop but it is not returning and results is it a must to finish reindex first to be able to serach? how can i make xplore reinding in less than 5 days. what can i do to make it reindex all my documents faster. what is importatnt to me is to be able to serach i mean to make sure the xplore is working and indexing from webtop how can i test that.thank you all
Use the xPlore Index Server Admin interface to make sure that indexing is working. You can do test searches there. Approximately how many documents are you talking about for the 5 day indexing? Have you used filters to filter out unwanted documents/folders etc?
thank you for your reply we have 22 million documents.the test search is working there fine. no i didnot user filters i am still new to this can you help or provid me with a link about it. i will also search the commintie. fadi
