Document folder links and document versions

Regarding linking a document to multiple folders, (Folder links), when you link a document to another folder (i.e. not the primary folder which is where the document is already linked to), does this just link the current version of the document?

If a new version of the document is created, what happens to the link to the old version? Is the link updated to the current version? Is it possible to have the same folder link across more than one version of the document or is it just the current version?

I guess you are talking about Webtop. When you link an item to another location in the repository, the item can be accessed from the new location in the same way it is accessed from its original location.

Yes it will point to the current version (updated version)

It always points to the latest version.

Another way to think about this is that each version of an object is separate object. So each version can have different value for i_folder_id attribute (which is reference to parent folder).
