geting validation error "User must choose value from the value assistance" on import

Hi,

when i am importing showing error Engine Family: "User must choose value from the value assistance".

i am using value assistance(SELECT object_name FROM dm_document where folder('/value_assistance/engine_families_models') ORDER BY object_name) for the attribute eng_family. but in my code i am taking the value for register table and setting it in eng_family.

so i can understand that there may be conflict. but sometimes it is saving not showing error. when i tried to find i found  that i ahve another attribute called eng_model.... and when i am saving different values for eng_family and eng_model, value is being saved but when i am having  same value for both the attributes it is showing error can anyone help me in this. any help will be appreciable.

eng_model is not having any sys_value_assistance.

Why are you making the attribute required if you are using value assistance?  If the user cant manually enter a value, then they have to select a value from your value assistance.
