Is postgreSQL database as backend is supported by documentum?

What are advantages or disadvantages of using postgreSQL over oracle as back end..?

Please let me know. Need to decide on this and start implementing a project...

you can confirm the supported RDBMS in Content Server Release Notes. If it is not listed in supported RDBMS then EMC will not provide support for (related) issues.
