xCP1.5 SQL Package failed to install - DiPADbInstall failed

Hi all,

I try to install the xCP 1.5 SQL installation Package on Windows 2008 RC2 Standard. The Server was freshly set up and no other software were installed on the server.

Only JAVA 6 update 22 was installed. I try to install the software very often and the error occurred very time. If I click on <OK> the installation aborted and only the uninstall option is available. The installation aborted with the exit code of 2 (see attached log file).

All requirements were fulfilled

Please help me, this is my 3rd day I try to set up xCP.

xCP was successfully and completely installed. Please check my additional information to the xCP requirements:

Windows Server 2008 SP2 (32 bit /64 bit)

only english server version functional
install all available windows updates
use only JAVA version JRE 5.0 Update 22

If the installation was not sucessfull please uninstall xcp and remove manually the created installation-folder in your environment.

Hi Eric ,

have you read the release notes , max supported java 6 relase 18 , make sure your registry is clean and you aware of MXML 6.0 issue , read install guide for more information.

Yes I have checked the release notes and install xCP with Sun JRE 5.0 Update 22. Error occured again.

I switch just my OS from german release to english version. I read this can be an issue...

reinstall MS Server 2008 english version. Installation takes 25Minutes, everthing looks fine and now - suprise- an new error message. Any ideas?

did you turn off UAC in your windows server 2008?

Hi All,

I got similar error, when i try to install XCP developer edition 1.5.

I have done all the pre-requisites as mentioned above prior to the installation. but still I am getting the error

Hello,

it is important that you are using only a english OS. Not only the browser language should be english.
