Dynamically displaying text boxes in custom component.

Hi All,

I have a requirement in my custom component, need to generate text boxes dynamically and I need to get those values(entered in textbox)  which were entered by the user into my Behaviour class. Is there any solution. Please help me.

the most simplest approach would be:

1. in your custom component, create a counter (say count = 0 ) and initialize it onInit like count = 1

2. in JSP, create a for loop (whih runs upto this counter) and will enclose dmf:text tag to create text box like:

for (int index = 1; index <= count; index++)

{

<dmf:text name='<%= "text_"+index %>' >

}

Against last text box create 'Add' link

3. On click of 'Add', call component's method which will just increment the value of count by one (count++)

To fetch values of textboxes, iterate for loop till value of 'count' and call

getControl("text_"+index, TextBox.class);

which will return control of text box from which you can get value
