Hi,

Is there any way to get /download the iwperl modules like TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRparser; TeamSite: Smiley Very Happy

CRnode.
So that i can installl in my local machine which has perl and do some level of testing and then tranfer those code to the actual teamsite server?

Any thougts or ideas..?

If you're using 6.5 and if the Perl on your local machine is 5.8.2 (and perhaps a little newer?) you *might* be able to transfer the contents of IWHOME/iw-perl/vendor/lib/TeamSite to your local disk into some directory supported by your local version of Perl.

I did that on my Mac - not so much for testing the code but for being able to read the perldoc's - so your mileage may vary in terms of being able to do active development away from the TS server with these modules.

I have done this. As Adam said, as long as your Perl versions match, you can just copy the contents of vendor/lib/TeamSite. However, be prepared to download/install other supporting modules. I don't remember what they all were, but I was eventually able to get them all installed. You'll want to use either the 'cpan' tool or 'ppm' (If you downloaded the ActiveState Perl for Windows).

One other note: Scripts that need to interact with the TeamSite server (external tasks, cgi tasks, etc.) probably won't actually run because you're local machine isn't a TeamSite server. But having those modules makes it possible to at least do a syntax check before copying up to the TeamSite server.

Just an interesting fact - Jon **** (the author of Tamplating) has once told me that he actually developed many parts of these modules on his standalone Linux box

I tried with the above way, but failed to continue after I tried to install Unicode::Map module.

PFA, the errors which i get... Did any one experinced that same issue..

BTW, my team site version is 6.2,I copied these lib to windows XP,my local machine

Any one did experienced the same issue? pls help

1. "these lib" - do you mean the Unicode::Map lib? I'll assume yes for now
2. Did you copy them directly from the TeamSite server or from CPAN?

As I noted above, I'd suggest using the cpan or ppm tools to install these non-TeamSite module (which it doesn't look like you're doing from screen print you attached). I had a lot of grief trying to copy those modules (specifically the Unicode::Map module) from the TeamSite server. But, when I used ppm (which comes with ActiveState's distribution of Perl), I was up and running fairly quickly.

I downloaded the Unicode::Map modules from CPAN and installed it..
It caused all the troubles after that..
Let me try it out thru ppm and see what happens..
