Assign a task dynamically

Hello,

I want to be able to assign a task to a user dynamically, that is, the user selects the user in a form, then a method or a dql query adds the user to the next queue.

I don't know how to retrieve the users nor how to add users to a queue (dmc_workqueue). Can someone help me please?? Or any other ideas are most welcome!

Why do you use workqueue? I don't think it will be possible for a workqueue but you can save the user name in a process variable, and then use the process variable as performer of the next activity. This can be done easily.

Store the user name selected in the form in a process variable and use that in the next activity. I think you have the option to fetch the value from process variable and make him as the performer.

Query the dm_user table to get the user list. Why is the work queue coming into picture?

Can we map multiple users to a task as performers??

It seems that it doesn't accept multivalued for the performers....

In that case, create a group, add the users to a group and make that group as the performer. At the end of the workflow, delete that group.

I wanted to add all the users of a tasks in the queue and then assigning the queue to the task.

But I am now using the "Select performer based on a process variable" option in my activity of my process.

I have given my users the queue_advance_processor role and added them to a specific role so that they can see a tasklist tab.

But however they don't seem to have the right to modify the task (They only have the right to read).

Am I missing something? or?

Not sure but check if the users are contributers rather than consumers and check if they have relate permission on the process template, and also if this is a work queue task, they first have to accept the task and then they can modify it.

I have given the users the client capability Contributor and added them in my process template and given them the Relate permission. But still they can only view the task and not edit it!!

Did you accept the task first? Tasks are read only until they are accepted.

Can you attache some screens of the task and also activiy defenition configurations so that we can see what the issue is.

It works now.

What I did is that I had to select the activity's performers as All Users In A Group as they were sent to a group!!

I chose previously Select performers as Specific User.
