I have a requirement in which one of the custom attribute I am setting DRL link as shown in figure. But this is not coming as hyperlink(appearing as plain text). How can i convert them into link so that users can click on it.<IMG class="jive-image-thumbnail jive-image" onclick="myJiveImage.start(this, 'https://community.emc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/41978/image%252Fbmp%5B1%5D.bmp');return false;" alt=image%2Fbmp[1].bmp src="https://community.emc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/41978/image%252Fbmp%5B1%5D.bmp" width=450 mcesrc="https://community.emc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/41978/image%252Fbmp%5B1%5D.bmp"></P>
your image attachment is not displayed here.
Anyways, as per your description, you are storing the DRL in a String attribute and you are expecting it to show up as a hyperlink in Attributes or similar component. Not possible OOTB.
Customize the component. Modify the JSP to include every single attribute and use dmf:link to display your Custom Attribute.
Or, you can create a new tag by extending "docbaseattributelist" to deal with attributes that have value starting with text "http".
In above image Reference attribute. Can you please put more light on "Modify the JSP to include every single attribute"
My explanation in previous post still applies. My assumption of your requirement was right.
Create a custom control to convert and display the value as a URL.
Please see the following file:
webcomponent\config\library\docbaseobjectconfiguration_dm_sysobject.xml
you might get away with a valueformatter, but you will probably will need to use a new tagclass.
I am using the Rendering END method and defined my XML:
<attribute name="reference">
and class as
public class ReferenceAttributeValueTag extends DocbaseAttributeTag
{
protected void renderEnd(JspWriter out)
throws IOException, JspTagException
StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer(256);
buf.append(getControl().getElementName()). append("'");
if (getControl().getId() != null)
buf.append(" id='").append(getControl().getId()).append("'");
buf.append(" value='").append(formatText(getControl().getName()));
out.println(buf.toString());
}
But not getting how to achieve this...
