Teamsite Road Map for 2006
System
Hi,
I am working on Teamsite upgrade plan for next year (We currently use Teamsite 6.1 sp1.). I am looking for feature list for Teamsite 6.7. If you can share what you know about this topic, I will appreciate it.
Thanks,

There are lots of things being worked on for both TeamSite and LiveSite. TeamSite 6.7 is scheduled for release in Q1 2006 and here is a very high-level list of the primary features that are part of 6.7.
- Configurable roles : The ability to create custom roles that match the users functional job descriptions. The notion of global logged-in role is also changing. You can assign roles to users at the branch level, thus enabling the same user to be assigned to a different role in different branches. For example - the same user can be an "author" in your Internet branch and be an "editor" in your Intranet branch.
- Delegated Administration : The ability to hand off or delegate the day-to-day administration of a branch to a "branch administrator", including assigning roles, adding users to a branch and adding users to a group. The users that can be added to a branch must already be defined as users in TeamSite. Adding users to groups can be done only where the group is a TeamSite group. The role assignment, group management etc will be exposed in the Content Center UI. The level of delegation can be controlled by the TeamSite Administrator.
- Other UI changes include the ability to set and modify file and folder permissions from the Content Center UI (again this is available only for those users whose roles have the privilege to modify file and folder permissions).
I can get into more details if needed. Please send me email (smenon@interwoven.com) if you want me to schedule a deeper discussion.
Also - we are looking to run a 6.7 Beta in Q4 (mid-November through the end of the year). If any of you are interested in signing up for the Beta, please send me email as well. I will send out a formal announcement about this in the next few weeks.
thanks
