initial-dir query

I would like to have the browser element in a DCT point outside of the teamsite workarea to a file directory on another server on our network.

Something like:
<browser size="50" extns=".pdf,.ppt,.doc" initial-dir="//netapp1/cc-emcmlc-a" required="t"/>

But the browser element won't allow anything outside of the teamsite workarea. Is there any way around this?

Greg, you are on demand.

Well, you can check the tech library, Greg posted one readymade script (unix compatible) that can access outside the workarea.

I created the one for Windows but haven't checked on network files. Probably it is possible.
