Unable to view MS Office Documents on Brava 7 with Taskspace Application 6.7

Hi Experts,

We have Taskspace 6.7 application and Brava 7 as viewer. I am able to view PDF and TIFF formats but I couldn't view any MS Office documents.

MS Office is already installed on the Brava server. But we are getting the below error related to license when trying to view Office documents, we have valid license key file IGCKey.lic.

"This file format is not licensed or an embedded file is not licensed

Contact Informative Graphics Corp. for licensing details"

I couldn't figure it out what couldn't be reason for this error. Any idea on what needs to be done to resolve this error?

I think you need to follow what the error message says and go back to the vendor and ask qwhy the license you have purchased to cover MS Office viewing isn't working.

I presume you configured the office format correctly in your Taskspace to use Brava 7. That being said, did you have previous version of Brava installed before installing 7? If so, I believe the license files are different between the old version and new one, so as Andy suggested, you need to contact them to get a new license file.

Thanks Andy and Johnny for your response. Yes, I have already contacted IGC Support and downloaded the latest license key file as well. But still, I am getting the same error.

We have linux app server and windows content server, so I installed Brava server components on windows server, and copied the client files to app server.

IGC Brava Support suggested to install MS Office on Brava server, I have done it already.Also, they suggested to install latest "Net-It now" version for IGC CSF Writer, I have done that as well. Still we couln't find what could be the reason for getting this error.

Try opening the license file in Wordpad. If I remember correctly, it is pretty self descriptive and it show say which components are licensed (or not). This should help verify if the license file is correct to support Office docs.

Thanks Johnny, I have verified it already and it looks good to me.

There are 3 component license mentioned in the file.

Brava Server License
Brava Enterprise Client License
NetItEnterprise.net License

Expires on March 27, 2013
