repeating attributes update

Hi,

I m trying to execute the below dql

update tcs_tax_location_tax_map object append fya = (select reviewer_level_1 from tcs_tax_loc_tax_role_map where tax_id_fk=1 and

location_id_fk=96) where location_id_fk =96 and tax_id_fk =1)

Here fya is a repeating attribute and reviewer_level_1 is also a repeating attribute.

This is giving an error. what is the mistake or how can i achieve this?

I need copy the repeating attribute reviewer_level_1 to fya..

Hi,

you want to append all values from a rep attribute in one object to a rep attribute in another object?

I doubt that DQL is able to do this at all, guess you have to write some code to achieve this.

AFAIK, you cant update repeating attributes using values from subselect. You can only do this with single value attribute. As Jørg stated, you will need to write a small DFC utility to do this.

That query is working fine .

We can copy repeating attribute from one object to another object.

Thats why i marked it as assumed answer.

Hi,

I really don know..

It was giving error as error in the vicinity of

update tcs_tax_location_tax_map object append fya = (select reviewer_level_1 from tcs_tax_loc_tax_role_map where tax_id_fk=1 and

location_id_fk=96) where location_id_fk =96 and tax_id_fk =1).

When i executed the same query later it worked fine.

It might be a case that attribute name i specified when i got the error was slightly wrong which i dint notice..

But really don know the actual reason.
