jms and event reporting confusion

I have resolved an issue I was having , but was wondering if anyone could clarify something for me about the jms and event reporting database setup. In order to resolve my issue i had to change my db drivers in 2 places.

\OpenDeployNG\etc\jmsConfig.xml
\OpenDeployNG\openjms\config\openjms.xml

Can someone explain to me the difference in these two files and why i had to change both. Like I said it solved my issue but I just don't get it.

No clue why you have both. My system (OD 6.0.1, Solaris 2.8) only has
OpenDeployNG/etc/jmsConfig.xml

I think the openjms directory has something to do with the scheduler db. I had an openjms directory on od 6.0.1 as well though. Do you see the directory at all?

yes I do, several SQL and XML files. No config file
