NRL file opening in native app

I am using Mailsite/Filesite 8 SP1a on Windows XP

When trying to open a link (NRL) file in an attachment of an email it just opens in worksite viewer and not the actual application. I know the fix for this is just to go into my computer, tools, option, file types, find NRL, advanced, select open, click 'set as default'. I have done this and copied the profile to the default user location but this setting does not stick!

Does anyone know of some code or a reg key to permently set/login script, this setting???

Re-arrange the defualt value of reg key [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NRL\shell] to "open,ZCmd0,...,ZCmd5,print". Then the open operation in Outlook will use "open" instead of "ZCmd0" to open the .url link.
