Build path dynamically using aliases

Is it possible to define an alias for a folder path like %basepath and %draftspath and then combine the two in a lifecycle action to dynamically contruct a path? I can't seem to figure out how to do it so I just thought I'd ask on the off chance that I'm just overlooking something.

I'd like to set the location as part of a lifecycle action and the location will only differ by the basepath, something like:

<organization>/Draft

/Approved

etc.

I dont think you can do this via configuration UI, but you can write post-procedure call that you can as part promote action.

Thanks Johnny, I'm finding the way that folders are configured to be somewhat less than optimal. It seems that I must actually import actual folders that are (or will be) referenced by aliases before I can even use them in my lifecycle definition. That is just crazy. All I really need are strings that represent the folder paths and I'll make sure they exist when the project is installed. I'm not really sure why it is designed this way but hopefully there is a workaround. It would take me forever to create the folder structure just so I could use it in my application design in Composer.

Update: Figured it out, alias set wasn't set in general tab.
