Import functionality in Template

Hello,

I am trying to use the import functionality within my template.
I have an text item which should do the browse functionality to upload images from local computer.
I have provided a button which when this is clicked, he import window should open up so that the file is imported to teamsite server at specific directory and also the path is loaded into the text field.
Can someone help me with this?

Just to clarify, i want to use this "/iw-cc/command/iw.teamsite.import_files" in some way so that i can upload files directly from the DCT, if they are located on local system, but not on teamsite.

In my opinion, this should be a standard Teamsite feature. Why let everybody write and maintain the same code?

I had gone through the code just mentioned above , but this code uploads the files to a particular directory .

I want to give users the flexiblity to choose their own files path .

I want to mimic teamsite Task Detail page 'Import' functionality where user has the liberty to choose the local file and as well as choose the target dir .

You could write a script that reads your workarea structure and allows the user to select the 'to' location from a dropdown list.

This isn't what I would consider that best solution, but it would be quick and easy solution.

The code is very old and from the look of it, buggy (I admit, I did not try it).
TS Import widget is exposed / documented / supported in it's full glory, why would you bother with some old code in the first place?
