TeamSite Preview timeout

aby_sam

For Teamsite production server:
Load URL load url - http://servername/iw
Login using ID & PW
For any content->Preview button brings up the preview page, but it exceeds the timeout period of 45 seconds
Is there anyway I can reduce the time taken to load the preview.
I assume that this is a problem due to large no. of files in the data folder. Any thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Aby,
try to find out, why your preview takes so long.
Do you have a problem with your presentation templates? Are there any errors if you compile a page on a command line?
Do you have any problems with iwproxy?
Do you install a custom webserver for previewing files?
Try to request your generated page directly with a webbrowser connected to your previewing webserver, not through iwproxy...

I'ven't observed any problems with presentation templates. It compiles fine using CLT.
Do you have any problems with iwproxy?
I'm not sure about this part since there is a different team at a remote location who deals with server & WPS & proxy related settings.
Do you install a custom webserver for previewing files?
Yes, we use a qa & stage servers for preview. Infact, qa server also experienced the similar problem almost at the sametime eventhough it runs on a different box.

Well, if your preview server is down, your preview doesn't work.
It seemes to be a simple thing, or I am missing something?

Fortunately this issue is solved for now. No one worked on this. Seems like an overload on the server or something like that.
Stefan, I'm getting the preview, but the issue here is, it takes more time for the preview to comeup.
Thanks for ur replies.
