Taskspace Create Dashboard Configuration is Blank

Hello everyone,

I am trying to configure a dashboard in taskspace for a BAM report. The screen below is what I see after typing in a Name and Label. All it is, is a blank page when it should be the page where I configure the reports I want to show. It doesn't let me save or finish either. I would like to know what would cause this issue and how to resolve it.

Which version of Taskspace, JRE, and browser are you using?

OS - Windows 7

Taskspace - 6.7 SP1

JRE - v1.5.0_13

Browser - Internet Explorer 9

PRS - 6.5 sp1

Try upgrading the JRE to 1.6.0_27

I tried upgrading the JRE, but that did not work either. Still get the blank screen.

I see that you are using 6.5SP1 for PRS. Any reason why you are not using 6.7 SP1? EMC prefers you to have all the products on the same version (this is how they typcially regression test).

There was an issue connecting the BAM server to 6.7 sp1, but was able to for 6.5 sp1.

This error could also be the root cause of why you cant see it. I suggest you use PRS 6.7 SP1 and resolve your connection issue. This way, any error you do receive, can be "reproduced" at EMC if you choose to submit a ticket.

I get two types of errors when trying to connect to the BAM server with PRS 6.7 SP1. One is "The server could not locate any Documentum repositories. Check the Docbroker settings in the server's DFC settings." and the other is "The provided Host URL is invalid." I do get the Bam server welcome page when I connect to it through IE 9.

I don't see how this would affect why I don't see anything with the dashboard screen in Taskspace. Another developer was able to see the correct screen (uses Windows Vista and IE 7), but I also tried this using a Virtual Machine and could not see the screen still. Are there specific plugins or programs needed for the dashboard creation screen? I do have the the latest flash player. Any help or direction would be appreciated.

If your coworker can see BAM and you cant, then this typically happens when a user does not belong to proper roles or the user does not have proper permissions on objects.

We are using the same user ID for taskspace configuration. Are there other permissions that should be set besides what's in taskspace?

I just re-read one of your replies - "Are there specific plugins or programs needed for the dashboard creation screen?"

- Yes, I think dashboard uses some plug-in (Adobe flex?). I dont remember off the top of my head. Try reviewing the BAM documentation.

Found a workaround from this ESG. It's moving three files up one directory. Hope it solves your issue as well.
