BOCS configuration is not working properly

Hi,

We have configured BOCS for our application.

When we upload a document through our custom application, the document instead of going to BOCS, is directly going to the Content Server.

Please let us know if there is any configuration that is required in our application that we may have missed.

Sorry Nikhil, you didn't include enough information to guess the issue. Here are a few things you might try:

Make certain you have a network location associated with the BOCS server.
Make certain you choose that location at login, or default to it based upon client IP address.
Activate DFS logging and check the list of servers given to the client for retrieving content.
Make certain the BOCS server is in that list and look for signs of problems in its use (e.g., failure to connect)
Examine log files on both the BOCS server and Content Server/Method Server

Is the custom application WDK or DFS based? These are the only technologies with direct support for BOCS, ACS & UCF. If you have a totally custom application you'd have to implement the BOCS side yourself, which has been raised a few times on these forums before.
