Urgent - Login Problem

Hi,

we are working on Teamsite 6.1 on Solaris 8. For sign on we use SiteMinder. we are currently facing problem in logging in to teamiste. It shows the default login page & after entering the valid user-id & pwd it again re-loads the teamsite login page, with an error message "The session has expired".

Seems like SiteMinder and even LDAP Cache Manager are running fine. what could be the problem, where to look in for details of the error.

Is your browser / client system allowing cookies to be created? That's one likely source of problems.

HI,

We redirected login thru LDAP and its logging us in. So the problem could be with SSO. Does not seem to be a browser/client system.

well then it sounds like whatever set-up you had before wasn't creating the necessary cookies TeamSite needs to maitain a session.

Hi Meha,

We have faced the similar kind of issue. We are using TS6.1 with iplanet LDAP server. This problem would have been arised becqause of below cases.

1) LDAP client binding fails between LDAP server and CMS server.
2) LDAP admin password would have been expired.
3) LDAP schema would have been corrupted.
4) CMS entity DB would have been corrupted.
5) IF you have configured your LDAP as MAster-slave configuration, then the issue may because of consumer LDAP.

On top of the above cases, an hint can be obtained from IW logs as well as error log files for slapd process.

Please let us know on the progress.
