Hi all, I have some docbases that i would want to delete but I'm getting error in deleting the docbase with Documentum Server Manager D: \Documentum\dba\config\CBAR\server.ini (The system cannot find the path specified) The installer will delete file D: \Documentum/dba/sta_license. I get this error too when click 'Edit Server.ini' but server.ini file is in D: \Documentum\dba\config\CBAR\ is there any way to delete ? Can i do it with droping tablespace (DM_CBAR_DOCBASE,DM_CBAR_INDEX) ?

that explains the error message, of course

I guess the repo isn't reported as running, since you don't have a server.ini any longer.

Have you been trying to delete the repo several times?

Or is it possible that you have delete the folder manually?

You could try to re-create the folder, copy the files, and try to uninstall again.

Hmmh,

It looks like you're in a windows environment, right?

Can you check the ImagePath in your Registry. It's supposed to look like

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\DmServer<repo>

C:\Documentum\product\6.7\bin\documentum.exe -docbase_name <repo> -security acl -init_file C:\Documentum\dba\config\<repo>\server.ini -run_as_service -install_owner <instowner> -logfile C:\Documentum\dba\log\<repo>log

strange indeed. I assume the file still exists at that location, of course?

Can you check permissions for the file?

I am confused

Now i want to check but there is not CBAR folder in \Documentum\dba\config and \Documentum\data

Folders were deleted automatically.But CBAR is still in list of repositories (Documentum Server Manager)

But when i got error CBAR folders were there

You're right, i have been trying to delete several times

That is why may be folders were deleted

May i create repository with same ID and name which i deleted?

Of course you can install a new repository with same ID. Make sure that services and folders are cleared entirely, though.

Dropping database has to been manually anyway.

I used this script to delete tablespaces

DROP TABLESPACE DM_CBAR_docbase including contents;DROP TABLESPACE DM_CBAR_index including contents;

don't forget to frop the database user also!!! Would be a pain if your docbase recreation fails because of a user name crash
