Initialize My Matters folder for New Users
System
If we add a new User to WorkSite, then try, through the API, to access that user's My Matters folder, it does not exist. If the user logs in once in DeskSite/MailSite/FileSite (and probably the web too...?), the My Matters folder exists.
Does anyone know how to force th My Matters folder to initialize if it is not there?

Hi,
The "My Matters" and "My Favourites" special folders are automatically created in the users primary database the 1st time they login (you can see the entries added in the Projects table). This behaviour is by design so what you'd need to do is do a login as that user - perhaps using a Impersonation Password configured via the WorkSite Server service properties.

I am logging in to the imansession object as a new NT user using the username and the worksite password that we have set the same for all users. When i search for the users My Matters though it does not exist. Is there something that i have to do after logging in through the SDK to cause the My Matters Folder to be created. Does someone have an example of how to initialize the my matters folder through code. Thanks.

In prior versions of 8.x , just logging in as the new user would initialize the account, even when logging in through the SDK. Now it appears that this is no longer the case!
Clearly, it is within the capabilities of the SDK to initialize a My Matters object, the question is how?!
Can anyone from Interwoven address this issue?

Assuming the sess is a valid IManSession
logged in as the new user:
Dim MyMatters As IManSubscriptionFolder
Set MyMatters = sess.WorkArea.SubscriptionFolder
