JMS over SSL causes error with LDAP Certificate Database Manager

I have an existing Java Method Server on a new content server installation runing on port 9080.  I would like to modify it to run over SSL but I can't get it to work.   If I change it the LDAP Certificate Database Manager is no longer accessible.

This is my process:

1. stop cs and jms

2. change the connector to a configured ssl connector in /opt/documentum/shared/jboss5.1.0/server/DctmServer_MethodServer/jbossweb.sar/deploy/server.xml

3. start cs and jms

Test: https://server:9443/DmMethods/servlet/DoMethod  works fine, same for DoMail

4. Open DA, make changes to server config

retrieve,c,dm_server_config...set,c,l,set,c,l,app_server_uri[0]https://server:9443/DmMethods/servlet/DoMethodset,c,l,set,c,l,app_server_uri[0]https://server:9443/DmMail/servlet/DoMailsave,c,l

5.  modify jms config object

retrieve,c,dm_jms_config...set,c,l,set,c,l,base_uri[0]https://server:9443/DmMethods/servlet/DoMethodset,c,l,set,c,l,base_uri[1]https://server:9443/DmMail/servlet/DoMailset,c,l,supported_protocol[0]httpsset,c,l,supported_protocol[1]https# Not required but for good measure change the name, EMC should not default object_name to something containing host and port since those could changeset,c,l,object_nameJMS server:9443 for master.master save,c,l

6. Restart everything - just to be sure

7. Test - doesn't work.   1-6 are the most complete steps but I've tried not changing object_name, supported_protocol, even not changing the dm_jms_config at all.  If port 9080 is not available and I attempt to access the LDAP Certificate Database Manager I get:

"Failed to fetch certificate details:Please make sure that method server is running"

If I renable port 9080 it works just fine again.

Am I missing something?  It seems to be that it is disregarding my changes and using port 9080 no matter what I do.
