Is it possible to send emails to the activity performers in D2? If so, how do I enable it?

Oh.... At the moment, BPM is not fully compatible with the BPM. If you configure a mail server, at each new task in the inbox, the performer receives a mail.

This is absolutely possible.
Have you taken the D2 Configuration class, available via MyLearn? You can also refer to the D2 Administration Guide for details.

You can use the standard BPM manual activity notification features or you can use the D2 templates (see D2 admin guide)

Thanks! So basically, I should be using the Events "on task receive" to send notification to the performers and "dm_terminateworkflow" to send emails to the workflow supervisor.

Well, if you're using the BPM, you're advised to use the BPM capabilities for sending notification (email templates). See the Process Engine documentation.
