teamsite 6.1 GUI woes

We just upgraded to teamsite6.1 and the upgrade was succesful and the webdeskpro gui works great but the content center pro is not allowing submit of workflows or some of the custom menus items are not working - This functionality works on webdeskpro side of 6.1 though
Any ideas?

When you say webdeskpro, you mean the 5.5 version of the GUI that is still available ?

If so custom menus are different for that than for CC-Std and CC-Pro.

What submit are you trying to do ? There is no direct submit anymore, could that be the issue ?
(It may still work in WDP, I have not tried)

yeah the 5.5 version thats is availabe for teamsite 6.1. the submit functionality for workflows works in there but when i shift to the new GUI CC-std and CC-pro i get an error when i try to submit a file via workflow . Not submit direct but regular submit

Could not find available submit workflow templates for user (master, //teamsite1/default/main/TechPubsWorkInProgress/WORKARE/admint/hardware/e-series/lib)
The custom menus have be reset for CC-std and CC-pro its just that some work and some dont though they work fine on development machine which is also windows 2003 server

What WF runs when you do submit from WDP ?

If the custom menus are not working, did you rebuild the GUI ?

yeah i rebuild the GUI . The custom menus are ok since i just have 2 - the Submit functionality is not working - I select a file and click on the submit button and it basically shows the erorr as i posted above. This behaviour is same for all the users . If any user shifts to webdeskpro they are able to use submit

If you didn't recode your custom menu scripts - you need to make sure they are run through wdpro_menu.ipl (similar to the way you run scripts through iwcgi_wrapper.cgi) - because the Form variables have changed. (if you search through the forums you can find a lot more information about this)

My point is that WDP may be doing a submit direct anyway.

There is a iw.cfg setting that says when I click submit, it runs Submit Direct.
Like I said, it MAY work in 6.1

So my question is does your WF run when you click submit ? Does it get deployed or
email or anything ? Is there an approval process ? Can you tell that a WF ran other
than the fact that the file was submitted ?

Look at the available_templates.cfg & see what WF is confuigred for that user/role/branch

I actually used the wdpro_menu.ipl -once i recoded they worked , I am concerned about the submit functionality - I have one workflow in my available_templates.cfg and i have attached that . When i try to submit a file using the workflow- i get an error when i click on submit action item.

I have disabled the submit direct feature in the iw.cfg. The submit itself is not working so i am not sure what else to do

Techpubs in your available_templates.cfg

You on Solaris ?

It is case sensitive

I use a full path, /default/main/Techpubs......

in the branch list.

If that is not the issue, then remove the branch restriction & try it out.

i finally figured it out, Ghoti was right, i had the available templates setup wrong . Also recoding the custome menus took care of the other issues
