doSave, doLink methods API

Can someone please let me know where I can find description of IDfSysobject methods like doSave, doLink etc. It is not there in the DFC API.

I need to find out what the arguments refer to. For example, doLink has a folderSpec argument. Is there any documentation which describes this?

Hi,

these methods are indeed not in javadocs, they are protected methods that you can override in your TBO codes.

Which is most likely what you're trying to do, right?

You can find some details in the DFC Development Guide, chapter Using the Business Object Framework (BOF).

In addition, the doXXX methods are reflecting the **** methods, so for doLink, you can check javadoc for link method, and you'll find some information about parameters etc.

I have already checked Using the Business Object Framework (BOF) chapter. It mentions the signature of each of the methods but not the description of what it does and what each of the parameter mean.

Can you please elaborate what do you mean by link method? Which class does the link method belong to?

Hi,

link belongs to IDfSysObject, and it's used to link objects to folder(s).

Well, the "best" one I've seen is in the DFC Development Guide in the Signatures of Methods to Override section
