Need advice getting started

HELP!

I'm a Visual Studio C# developer and have been tasked to "re-purpose" a windows application that uploads documents and meta-data to Documentum. It is using the following assemblies:

Emc.Documentum.FS.DataModel.Core.dll

Emc.Documentum.FS.DataModel.Shared.dll

Emc.Documentum.FS.Runtime.dll

Emc.Documentum.FS.Services.Core.dll

All version 6.6.038

I am completely new to Documentum. I believe I need to set up a test environment. Where can I get the SDK with examples and documentation to get me pointed in the right direction?

These files are part of DFS, which is the Documentum SOAP web services toolkit/framework. If you already have Documentum installed somewhere then you should have the documentation, but a quick setup for getting a DFS server side set up is to a. install Tomcat (DFS is Java) b. install the DFS war c. configure the war file with the correct dfc.properties to point to your test documentum repository At the server side there is a DFS SDK that you can download via PowerLink, the Documentum support site, that just requires you to have an account. This SDK has all the documentation as well as examples in Java and C#
