Method Jar is not getting updated

Hi All,

I experience a problem related with Java Method Server where updated jar file is not getting reflected during the execution. Even after deleting the jar file from

"/logiciel/documentum53/<app_name>/dba/java_methods" folder it is not throwing error as " Class Not Found" and it is getting executed. It seems somewhere it has captured reference. Could you please let me know where should I check and delete the reference.

Hi,

you need to restart your method-server to get rid of the old version. It is still loaded by your Java VM in the PermGenSpace. A better approach to handle this is to deploy your methods using the BOF-loading mechanism, this way you can update the method within your docbase as a new version and method server is aware of it right at the next execution.

Hi,

strange, can you take a look at your method-server deployment directory? As it seems to be a 5.3 installation have a look into the tomcats webapp directory and check the WEB-INF/lib directory for the jar file... Maybe it has been deployed there as well.

You can run JMS JVM with -verbose:class to investigate in which jar/directory problem class is located.
