Hi,
two suggestions under millions:
You can add a radio button with the values "internal" and "external" to your DCT.
Or a checkbox named "new window"...
Then your presentation templates can read out this value and write the correct code in your HTML page.
How to add radio buttons ans check boxes: have a look in the "TeamSite FormsPublisher Developer’s Guide".
By the way: What TS version are you using?
