EMAIL-Inbound Initiate

Email Inbound Initiate - Is it possible to select Microsoft Exchange SMTP server as Email server??Currently In process builder When I Test the connection for Email Inbound Initiate ,I am getting below error com.documentum.bps.inbound.BPSInboundConfiguration.getConfigPropertiesMap()?

Please post your settings for the activity configuration. I have used Exchange for SMTP and havent run into issues.

I want to create a process with Email-Inbound initiate activity.While I open the activity,given

below details and test the connection

Email Server Type : IMAP

Hostname : MIcrosoft Exchange server

Port : 143

Username and password:My outlook id and password

ERROR : com.documentum.bps.inbound.BPSInboundConfiguration.getConfigPropertiesMap()?

I believe even it has not polled against server and throws integration error,please hep on this!!

Hostname has to be either a valid hostname that resolves to the IP address of your smtp server.

EMAIL Inbound has only options for IMAP/POP3 not for Microsoft exchange server.I know the exact hostn name/ip address but dont know the port number,will that work??

I tried configuring bps.war in my localhost and make that running.Do we have to give any email server values there,please help me on this.

IMAP/POP3 are protocoles that can be enabled/disabled for an inbox or globally for the entire smtp server. Your smtp server is MS exchange, so get the host name (IP address) and have this value in "Hostname" field.

By default IMAP and POP3 will have the default port populated. if those are not correct, ask your Exchange resource to provide you with correct values.
