Configuring FTP Outbound Activity to send a specific rendition

I have been tasked with developing a process template that uses the FTP Outbound Activity in Process Builder to send only a specific rendition of the document to a destination. I can get the activity working to the point that it will send down the primary rendition, but I need to key in on a specific rendition based on the FULL_FORMAT (an attribute of the DMR_CONTENT object) for that rendition.

Here is how I currently have this mapped. I think I can specify a specific rendition based on the index of the rendition, but what I really need is to, for example, send the rendition where FULL_FORMAT = "WEB".

Can anyone think of how I could go about doing something like this?

Just below the "content" node on the right-hand side you have a "rendition" node. That's what it's for.

Thank you for your response. Could you be more specific in how I can actually specify which rendition I want to send over? For example, can I select the rendition that has a file type of "PDF" or maybe key on other attributes of the rendition content? I am a bit of a novice with Process Builder.

Hi Ashish,

Unfortunately, we were unable to figure out how to accomplish what we were looking to do and ended up having to go with a custom code solution. Then, the project got cancelled so we didn't even have to do that!

Good luck on your efforts. If you want to pull a specific rendition by anything other than index number, I think you will have to go with a custom code solution.

Thanks Kristopher for your reply. Application is pulling rendition based upon rendition index (say rendition[1]) and document has only one PDF rendition generated. But at times it picks the PDF rendition and at times it picks the office rendition so in some cases office document is FTP to the server which is not the required behavior

My root cause analysis says that its happening because PDF rendition is stored in rendition[1] in some cases and in rendition[0] in some cases which should not be the case. Trying to find out what is causing this

In case you have any idea, can you help which value will be stored in rendition[1] vs rendition[2]. I understand this should be coming from dmr_content but dmr_content does not have rendition attribute as repeating.

I also understand that native rendition can be identified where rendition = 0 in dmr_content but that does not helps as in FTP activity we cannnot check this, we can only select the rendition[1] or [2] in the mappings tab

There is only one rendition - office to PDF generated using ADTS and PDF rendition has to be pushed to FTP site

, what I did in the past is write a custom method before this FTP activity and set process variables with the values that exist for rendition[1] and [2] (format). Then you can use this to transition into your FTP activity and perform your export. Hope this helps.
