advance search behaviour

Hi.. i am working with default search component. when i am searching for a document which is of custom type,i can't find in search result even proper search critieria is provided .i am getting only 350 records this is because of dfc.search.max_results_per_source=350 in dfc.properties if i increse it by 1000 i am getting required document. can someone help me with logic behind how this 350 records are selected ??

Its the first 350. I believe, the DQL behind the scenes if implementing RETURN TOP x. You might include more specific search criteria or include order by to get more recent docs first.

Hi johnny thanks for you responce , even if i sort by modifiction date , record are sorting within that 350 . no new records are getting added .

I dont quite understand what you are asking. If you set max results to 350, why would you expect it to return more? If you want more items, set it higher. The application is responsible for paging through the query results.
