capacity palnning for verity install

Hi ,
1. Is there any document to do a capacity planning for installing search engine on teamsite with DCR content( mainly -80%) .
The it is planned to install in two different boxes .Teamsite in one and search and Index server in another.

2.Can the search and index server be installed on AIX and Teamsite in Solaris will there be any issues. Am yet to see a document for Verity in AIX .

Hi,
isn't it so, that the TS search feature is only available within TS6.5 and higher?
And isn't it so, that TS6.5 is not delivered for AIX?
So I would say, that you can't install TS search engine under AIX.
Or am I wrong?

Yes, you are right on Teamsite, it is not supported in AIX but the search is separate by itself, using a third party search engine (Verity) and verity supports AIX. I was just trying to explore the possibility as we are moving to AIX as the std platform.
The teamsite ( to be upgraded to 6.5) is running on Solaris and Search and Index server is planned to be installed in a new machine which may be AIX.

I suggest you contact Support to get an "official" response regarding whether or not the TeamSite Search installation packages are provided for / supported for AIX.

We do not support the installation of Search/Indexing on a different platform from TeamSite. Also - even though Verity supports AIX, the TeamSite Search package contains a lot of custom functionality that is specific to TeamSite and is not just the Verity engine. Hence, the platform consistency is a requirement.
