Documentation GrumblingsI believe I want to use the value-from-callout attribute in a dbschema.cfg that I'm working on, but I don't know how to use it. The manual says:value-from-callout — specifies the location in the XML file of the value to be deployed. Used when deploying data from an external data source.
which doesn't really explain much to me, and as there are no follow-up examples that I can find ...
I did find about 4 posts on DevNet which mentioned this directive - but nothing that seemed to explain how to use it (most of the hits were just cases where the clause was in the content that was posted, but not the actual topic of conversation).
IssueWe wish to deploy a column of information to the DB that includes the date of the deployment.
I can easily write a script to produce this information - but I don't know if that will work or if I need to do it in Java (as the references I saw in my search seemed to do) - and if I can use a simple script - how do I specify it in the config file?
Is it something like:<column ... value-from-callout="d:/iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl d:/iw-home/local/bin/getdate.ipl"/>or is it something more convoluted?
Anyone?
