DQL for getting default storage name from type name

Hello Experts,

I need to find the default storage objects id from the given type name. I have to get hold of the IDfCAStore object and do some attribute setting.

Could anyone please help me with a query to get the storage id or the storage name from the type name.

this query gives you the default storage for all types having such

select st.r_object_id,st.name,ti.r_type_namefrom dm_store st,dmi_type_info tiwhere st.r_object_id=ti.default_storage

I see an IDfTypeInfo in DFC References, but I can't find any way to instantiate this one

However, you can easily run the query in DFC, assuming you have instantiated any object of type dm_sysobject.

IDfQuery qry = new DfQuery();qry.setDQL("select default_storage from dmi_type_info where r_type_name='" + <your_object>.getTypeName() + "'");IDfCollection coll = qry.execute(session, IDfQuery.DF_READ_QUERY);if ( coll.next() ) {    System.out.println("Found default storage with id: " + coll.getId("default_storage"));}coll.close();

I tried with IDfTypeInfo but it didnt work. Cannot cast ID to IDfTypeInfo

IDfTypeInfo typeinfoObj = (IDfTypeInfo) dfSession.getObjectByQualification("dmi_type_info where r_type_name = 'bhc_edi_850'");

IDfId storageObj = typeinfoObj.getDefaultStorageId();
