Trying to add a node to a browser tree in webtop

Hi there,

I am trying to customize Webtop by adding a node to the browser tree. It should act very similar to the HomeCabinet, except it's path will be calculated dynamically for each user. I started by creating a component based on HomeCabinet and 1. can now see the node on the tree, 2. when I click on it I can see the directory, but when I try to expend + on the tree, I am getting an error and the name displayed is still 'My home Cabinet'. If anybody had done something similar before, what are all the files that need to be customized. this is all new to me

Thank you, I was able to do that ( I am not a Java programmer), but after I made changes and tried to compile, I am getting errors about this kind of statements:

Label title = (Label)getControl("doclist_title", com/documentum/web/form/control/Label);

I changed this to

Label title = (Label)getControl("doclist_title", com.documentum.web.form.control.Label);

and the number of errors decreased, but still ...

location: package com.documentum.web.form.control

VendorDevelopingList.java:76: error: cannot find symbol

Label title = (Label)getControl("doclist_title", com.documentum.web.form

.control.Label);

symbol: class control

What am I missing here?

be sure class Label of title variable is com.documentum.web.form.control.Label (not java.awt.Label or something)

Someone actually was able to help me out with this:

Instead of

Label title = (Label)getControl("doclist_title", com.documentum.web.form.control.Label);

Use

Label title = (Label)getControl("doclist_title", com.documentum.web.form.control.Label.class);

I would use the Cabinets component as it has an argument for inital path.

I would customise the onInit to get the path from user details and set it into the arguments for the standard onInit.

This is what I did before to create views of specfic cabinets.

There were no folders in the cabinets so I did not worry about browsertree nodes.
