How to get the conditions for an attribute.

Hi,

i am working on a application in which if applicable i have to get all the possible values for an arribute .

i am able to retrive the default value list by using the following query -

select valid_values from dm_value_list where r_object_id = (select default_id from dm_cond_id_expr where r_object_id in (select cond_value_assist from dmi_dd_attr_info where type_name='"+objectType+"' and attr_name='"+attributeName+"'));

but i also want ot get the conditions for an attribute and thier respective possible value -

suppose if there are two attributes car_maker and car_model

the default list for car_maker is - honda, maruti.

and the defalut list for car_model is - abc and xyz.

but there are also conditions for the car_model in value mapping

i.e

if car_maker ="honda" then the possible values are car1, car2, car3

if car_maker = "maruti" then the possible values are car4, car5, car6

then how can i get the conditions defined for the car_model and their values?

Checkout the DFC Javadoc, and more specifically IDfType and IDfValidator.

It seems like you are storing various values in different locations (value assistance query and value mapping). Why dont you consolidate the lists into single registered table and apply your filtering logic there?
