How can I get an imported document have my custom type?

Hi,

I have a requirement. When a user imports a document into a specific folder in docbase, my_custom_type should go to it automatically. How can I get it? Are there any options? If yes, which one is simple and best.

Please share your knowledge and experiences for figuring this out.

You may be able to do this with Presets. If not, you will have to customize the importdocument component to apply your business logic there.

Are you using webtop? If so, presets can do this.

If you are using taskspace, you can also configure this.

You can always customize for any WDK based product.

Really, we need to know more about what products you are using

I got a solution by configuring Import component as follows. I scoped this to a role.

<document-docbase-base-type>new_customer_setup_document</document-docbase-base-type>

<document-docbase-type>new_customer_setup_document</document-docbase-type>

</component>

</scope>

This resolved my issue.
