How to Autopopulate date in forms builder

Dear Experts,

I am pretty new to documentum development. I am having a problem while autopopulating current date in my taskspace form.

My form has different sections visible/editable to different users based on rules applied on each attribute.Each of these sections has a date field which has to populate the current date whenever the user of that section opens the form.

So can any one PLEASE help me to achieve this. ALso I wanted to try document processor adator, but m not sure how it works.

BTW, move your question (by one of the actions in the right top corner) to the ECN > Developer Network > Documentum > Discussions.

This is out of the box current system date/time adaptor. You just need to call it from your form control. As Konstantin said, first step is to read the manuals.

I have read the manuals. I have also created an adaptor which updates the current date based on the input values of other controls in the corresponding section. But I want to know if there is any other method to achieve this.

You seem to be asking multiple questions.

First thing, why are you creating an adaptor when there already exist out of the box one?

Secondly, are you saying that your custom adaptor doesnt work? If so, its mostly likely a deployment issue of where you are putting your adaptor jar file.

Third, adaptors are the supported way to customize/extend the behavior of controls Forms Builder.
