Configuring process builder email template

Hello Experts,

I am trying to use email message shown in process builder development guide, but it seems that documentum can't understand jsp tags.

It is sending the results as html text.

This is my email template,

Have you assigned values to parameters that you are passing into email template?

Johnny, I think they sould be aoutomatically recognised, since they are special tags. Unfortunately even this doe's not work,

I have never tried to use JSP in the html email template, but your dmp:

<dmparam>message_text</dmparam>

should work as long as you map the param in the data mapper tab.

There are some steps to configure it but it is not properly documented. And this params don't work as well.

I would separate the two issues. Get your system to work with params first, then try getting jsp to work. Trying to tackle multiple issues at the same time can confuse the path to resolution.

Yes, you are right Johnny, sorry I did not mention if I create a param like this $$my_param$$ and map samoething to it, it works properly.

So are you trying to using custom tags to do your own custom field replacements in the html template?

I want to create an if else statement and hide some fields when they are empty and also I want to query some extra information from the docbase that are not present in workflow and send them to email as well. But so far no luck.

As a workaround, for the if-else, you can do this at the workflow level (outside of the email template activity) and have 2 html templates depending on your business logic.

As for the including information from the docbase, you can define fields in SDT and query and populate them prior to this activity. Then you can use the default method of populating parameters (as it was designed for).
