TaskSpace - Create Form Action

Dear All,

Within my TaskSpace application, we i add a new button to a forms builder form, and assign to it a "create form" taskspace action, and click on the button a dialogue box opens, from which the user selected the type of form and its title, then the dialogue box closes and the new form is not opened to the user for editing.

Although when the user clicks on "more actions" builtin button and selected create form, the user enter form title and choose form type, then it is opened automatically for editing.

Can anyone explain why the "create form" action in taskspace dosen't open the form of editing automatically?

The more actions only show up when you select an object, so that objectId is passed onto the action. Did you configure your button to pass the object Id to the action or check if object is selected?

Thanks Johnny for your reply, but actually the "more actions" button can be added to a tab of type "folder" within the administration of the taskspace application.

Thus, no object is needed to be selected so as to click on "more actions" button from within a taskspace folder form template.

Also, no id is needed to be passed to the "create form" action as the new object is not created yet.

Sorry, I was just trying to explain why more actions would work and not calling action directly from action button.

I do remember that I had to play with 1 or 2 of the action button configuration to get it to work.

For me also the create form action button is greyed out. I understand that it requires object id but while defining action it does not ask.

Can you pls suggest me some ways to get it work

User should have form_user role assigned to him in order to have permission to create new form , once they have permissions the create_form_action butoon will be enabled

You must set "Open Items" as the Landing Tab on the action configuration.
