Problem in populating users

Hi ,

I have developed one dql datasource adaptor from which i am populating usernames and manager names.

But when i select the user & manager name it is showing maximum no of allowed is one.

2)It is not saving in the data mapping attibutes.

3)How to configure repeating attribute in performer task to do next activity.

Adaptors wors on forms not in process. What you mean by this?

There is no way to do this. If you need to create a dymanic number of tasks you can do that with loop. Search in the community the desing patern which explains how to achieve this.

The 'Direct Manager' and 'Department Manager' attributes are process variables, aren't they?

So you can't save to them the repeatable data. Second, the drop down field control never save repeatable data, it is intented to save just *one* value from the list. Third, seems like you have binded the adaptors on the Special tab. In your case adaptors must ne binded only on Data&Storage tabs.

To save 'Direct Manager' and 'Department Manager' attributes to package attributes, place the Data Mapping activity after Initiate activity and map those values.

To your second screenshot.

Repeat again, you can't set repeatable value as activity performer. Please search in community for loop design pattern.

Also it would be very helpfull for you look carefully on design patterns. You will find there a lot of answers to a lot of your not asked questions ;-)

Now drop down values is storing in attribute.

2) Now i am having an issue that whenever user select user from direct manager dropdown,task has to display in that users inbox. But it is not displaying.I followed the below steps

Form used:electronic form

activity2-->performer-->select performer-->single user from group/single(tried both )-->select performer based on process data-->select the process data attibute-->finish

whenever i initiate the process and select the user it is not going to that particular activity...it is cuming back to workflow supervisor please suggest

What the value of the adaptor is saved? Please, make sure - it must be user_name.

Why you used for task an electronic form? It must be Task form template.

I have created a register table from there i am getting the user names as a dropdown in form.

adaptor is working fine and value is aslo storing in mapped attribute. Now the issue is selected user in the dropdown should perform the task( but it is going again to workflow supervisor)

So electronic form will not work ??

I have no doubt that it works fime. I just pay your attention to save the right value. If task goes to supervisor you have two possible issues:

- it is saved wrong value from adaptor (there is no user in system with such name)

- or there is empty value in mapped attribute.

My Issue got resolved...I am using user_login_name due to this i am not able to login to taskspace.

Now I changed to user_name now its working fine.
