How to change dm_document to custom type for existing documents

Hi All,

In folder contains 10000 Documents(dm_document). But I am trying to change object type from dm_document to custome type my_doc.

I had tried to change it with the following query,

CHANGE my_hr_document OBJECTS TO dm_document WHERE r_object_id ='09XXX';

It updated sucessfully but when I click to open the File Facing ERROR Unable to with no exact file".

if you have opportunity try restarting content server as the objecs might be in cache..

to verify that, use the below api with one of the changed documents object ID.

kill,c,<object id>

and try to access the content

You dont need to restart the content server. You just need to refresh browser session (log out and close your browser). The next time you log in again, the object should have new type information cached.
