We're running TS 6.5 SP1 on Solaris 2.9. We installed the DB2 Application Development Client (V8.1, I think). We also installed DBI 1.48 and have been trying to install DBD:

B2 0.78.
Re. the latter, running "make" seems to work except for this repeated error:
/usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/bin/ld: bfd assertion fail elf32-sparc.c:1737
Running "make test" results in:
t/base....dubious
Test returned status 0 (wstat 139, 0x8b)
test program seems to have generated a core
Failed Test Stat Wstat Total Fail Failed List of Failed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
t/base.t 0 139 ?? ?? % ??
Failed 1/2 test scripts, 50.00% okay. 0/1 subtests failed, 100.00% okay.
make: *** [test_dynamic] Error 29
A simple such as the following results in a Segmentation Fault:
use DBI;
my($dbh) = DBI->connect("dbi

B2:mydbname","xyz","xyz");
Is there an easy easy way to troubleshoot using the "core" file? I tried "mdb" but gave up.
What we put in place of mydbname doesn't seem to matter.
Has anyone been able to use DB2 w/ Interwoven's Perl? On Solaris? Any hints?
Compiler details:
gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/local/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/2.95.2/specs

Many thanks,
