How to get the default values for an attribute using dfc

Hii guys..

i am trying to retrieve the information related with the attributes of particular object type, i am able to get almost all the information for an attribute

except the default values and whether the attribute is required or not.. i am using the following code --

        IDfPersistentObject pObj =    session.getObjectByQualification("my_object");

        int attrCount = pObj.getAttrCount();

        for (int attrIndex =0; attrIndex < attrCount; attrIndex++){

            IDfAttr attribute = pObj.getAttr(attrIndex);

                System.out.println("Attribute_Name : "+ attribute.getName());

                System.out.println("Repeating : "+attribute.isRepeating());

                System.out.println("Data_Type : "+attribute.getDataType());

                IDfValidator validator = pObj.getValidator();

                IDfValueAssistance valAssist = validator.getValueAssistance(attribute.getName(), null);

                if(valAssist != null){

                    IDfList values = valAssist.getActualValues();

                    for(int i = 0; i < values.getCount(); i++){

                        System.out.println("Defined values : " + values.get(i));

i was getting the default values and checking whether attribute is required or not using DQl, but i want to switch back from DQL to DFC,

So is there is any way through which i can get the desired information using DFC.

I have always used a combination of DFC and DQL to determine if an attribute is required and what its default value is.  Because this info resides in the data dictionary and various other supporting classes that aren't specifically modeled in the DFC, I find the objects used a DQL query and then retrieve the info using IDfSysObject.getString() once I have the objects.  There is a good example of this process in this code:  http://sourceforge.net/p/drxproj/code/25/tree/trunk/src/com/drx/DrxGetCustomTypes.java.
