DataDeploy and DDL in tran

Environment:

OpenDeploy 6.0.2
Windows 2003 EE

Question:

Hi. I'm using Open/DataDeploy with a Sybase 12.5.1 database. Can anyone tell me if DataDeploy requires DDL in tran in order to function properly? I've looked through the DD admin documentation and can't seem to find any references to this setting.
