I see from the docs that in order to have the cgitask start immediatly the job owner has to be the same as the task owner for a start task or the task owner has to be the same owner of a previous user or group task
So my question is can i have a start task of a usertask with a timeout of zero... this way the cgi task would start?
Basically I want a user to do the following in ccpro in 6.5.
1. Submit a file.
2. SetMetadata cgi starts.
3. User enters metadata, saves and closed
4. Workflow transitions to reviewer step for approval.
Currently to have this working I have to have the owner of the workflow set as the same owner of the cgi task, and it does work this way. Unfortunatly working this way allows the user to approve or reject at the step eventhough they don't own the task.
SO will the following work? and if not is there a way to do this?
1. Submit a file.
1a. Transition to a start task of a user task with a zero timeout owned by the user who owns the setmetadata task.
2. SetMetadata cgi starts immediatly
3. User enters metadata, saves and closed
4. Workflow transitions to reviewer step for approval.
If not has this been done another way by anyone? Using perhaps an external task to change the owner of the workflow after the setmetadata task?
Take care
David.
